Tiffany & Casey - Engaged! // Part 2

Let the adorableness continue! Here's part 2 of Tiffany and Casey's engagement photoshoot. Early on in the day, we decided it would be fun to snag a couple of photos at one of Alexandria's finest Irish pubs, Daniel O' Connells. It really doesn't get any more romantic than that dark wood, dim lighting, a crackling fire or two and a pint of your favorite beer! Tiffany and Casey opted for a shot of Jameson as it holds a particular significance to them...and of course, I had to join in on the fun! 

After we wrapped up in Alexandria, we headed to Colvin Mill Park out in the Potomac Falls area of Northern Virginia. It had gotten very grey and misty outside, but it cleared the crowds at the mill and we had the whole place to ourselves! It was an absolutely gorgeous setting. In addition to the big old brick mill, there were winding paths outlined with brightly colored trees - and TONS of leaves on the ground for us to work with (as you'll see in a photo below).

Tiffany & Casey - Engaged! // Part 1

What a couple, what a day, what a shoot. Tiffany & Casey are all sorts of adorable and I am so happy to be able to finally share the rest of their engagement photos with you. But guess what...this is a SPECIAL engagement shoot - a three-part engagement shoot! I have so many awesome and amazing photos of this couple, there's just no way I can squeeze all of the engagement goodness into one post. 

Today's post (part 1) documents our Old Town Alexandria photo adventures. We started at the docks by the Torpedo Factory, then wandered the uneven sidewalks in search of front porch perfection, and ended on a beautiful cobblestone street. As I mentioned in their sneak peek, these two literally needed no direction from me! The love and happiness you see in these photos is 100% natural. They are the BEST.

Tiffany & Casey - Engaged!

I am so so SO excited to share a sneak peek of Tiffany and Casey's engagement photoshoot with you all! This shoot is particularly near and dear to my heart because Tiffany is a very close friend of mine who I met just after moving to DC. We clicked instantly and never looked back. Just so happens she's also engaged to one pretty awesome fella! 

We started our day in beautiful Old Town Alexandria and finished our day in a very autumn setting at Colvin Mill Park. These two made my job so unbelievably easy - they're naturals!

Dana & Mike - Married! // Arlington & Alexandria, VA

Congratulations to Dana & Mike! They decided to have an intimate courthouse wedding in Arlington and boy, was I beyond flattered that I got to photograph the day. To be 100% honest, I had only done family and engagement photoshoots up to this point, so when the last-minute opportunity to shoot Dana and Mike's wedding came along, I was super excited but also a bit nervous. Turns out, the day went fabulously and I completely enjoyed the experience! Dana and Mike are an incredible couple. I met them for the first time on the day of the wedding and was immediately struck by their overwhelming love for each other as well as their fun-loving, welcoming personalities. It was such a fun day and I am very much looking forward to the next time I am able to photograph someone's special day! 

In Arlington, you don't actually get married in a courthouse - you get married in a (very dimly lit) lawyer's basement office across the street!
